Houses Don't Stay On The Market Too Long

As homes in this subdivision go up for private sale, it seems they don't stay on the market very long. That's a good thing. I recently spoke to a friend who is now a former neighbor who not only sold their home in one day, but got more than the asking price. Although all the paperwork took about one month, they were very pleased not only with the speed of the sale but with the equity they were able to walk away with as well. I am sure there are other similar stories. Positive news is always nice to share. Enjoy the day.

  1. Your posts seem to focus on negatives like speeding traffic and crime. We are thinking of buying a home in Walnut Creek, but your posts are discouraging. Would you recommend looking elsewhere? FWIW, we are also considering Firethorne in Katy.

    1. Didn't realize there were comments. Moving here is still a good bet.

  2. Hello,
We are currently considering to build in this community. However, we are not sure what type of neighborhood it may ultimately become since the area is so new & undeveloped in the back. Although we love the new collection of homes that are being offered by Lennar, we have also noticed that there are several homes for rent already in the newer part of the community in the back where construction is still taking place. We're curious as to why there are already rentals on newly constructed homes?? Wondering how the neighborhood is from an inside view & if there is a reason for the rapid moves. Thanks!

  3. Dbeez I do not know the author of this blog but have lived as part of the walnut creek community for 1year now and so far have enjoyed my decision to purchase here. My personal opinion is the rental homes in the newer sections are investment home due to the hot real state market in the Houston area not people moving out because they did not like the neighborhood. That said my one consern has been the HOA not being active enough to address violations that said I do believe as the community has grown they are becoming more active.

  5. People also need to check the HOA rules about parking on the streets, It states no overnight parking on the street, But yet now it is an obstacle course, This really needs to be fixed before cars start getting hit and then we will have neighbor VS neighbor
